You know, I”ve read this quote before. I can’t remember but I think it was possibly one of those mass emails that gets circulated. Ever since then I have used great care in saying my kids’ names. I would feel like I’ve done my job right if either one of them felt their name was safe in my mouth. The sweetest thing ever. =)

It’s such a great quote. I agree with your comment about speaking the names of your children. I have this theory that how you talk to your children when they’re little will come back to you when they’re teenagers. So, if you’re overly harsh with your toddler, they’re going to be overly harsh to you as a teenager. It’s just a theory. I’ll let you know how it goes.
