Frozen Banana Bites

I've been mulling over a new saying lately, similar to "form over function" but this one is "health over flavor." That's because I realize most of my days I'm looking for balance between these two seemingly opposing words. Can we have a little of both? These Frozen Banana Bites are proof that we can!

Of Trash and Treasures

One person's trash is another person's treasure. Said differently, one person's weed is another person's low growing ground cover. We happen think there's a lot of benefits to weeds. We're lucky to live in an older house in the downtown area of our community so we're free of homeowner's association restrictive rules. That means we can have clothes lines, open garage doors, vegetable gardens, and good ol' weeds.

Be the tree! With that in mind I decided to make muffins bursting with the flavor of oranges. These Tropical Muffins are a lightly sweetened combination of orange, banana, and strawberry with an almond meal and orange zest topping.
