Frozen Banana Bites

I've been mulling over a new saying lately, similar to "form over function" but this one is "health over flavor." That's because I realize most of my days I'm looking for balance between them.

Today's recipe represents equilibrium: a perfect balance between health and flavor. Frozen Banana Bites are coated in healthy things like peanut butter, ground flax seed or trail mix and then dipped in chocolate. All the ingredients are healthy. And all the ingredients rank high on flavor, especially when combined!

Of Trash and Treasures

One person's trash is another person's treasure. Said differently, one person's weed is another person's low growing ground cover. We happen think there's a lot of benefits to weeds. We're lucky to live in an older house in the downtown area of our community so we're free of homeowner's association restrictive rules. That means we can have clothes lines, open garage doors, vegetable gardens, and good ol' weeds.

Spicy Roasted Chickpeas

I feel like Forrest Gump of the chickpea. I like 'em in a veggie burger. I eat them in hummus and gravy. Heck, I even make a faux "tuna" salad with them. I could write a cookbook on a 100 things to do with chickpeas. Today's recipe is one of my favorites because it's so easy and so delicious. My daughter and her friends love these bite-size morsels. You could make a double batch and take them as an appetizer to a party, or just have them on hand as a healthy snack at home.
