Silk Mint Chocolate Soymilk warmed in a mug translates into Cozy and Quick Mint Cocoa. A great way to start any day!
I’m sure you can tell by now that being a vegan can take a little work. We have to cook a little more, clean a little more, and even plan a little more. It’s always worth it in the end because it’s healthier. And healthier means happier.
But you know what? Sometimes vegans want it a little easy too. You know, like when your schedule has been hijacked by traffic jams, soccer games, and multiple trips to the store for Halloween candy that keeps mysteriously disappearing. The results? Hurrying around one too many days in a row.
That’s when you know it’s time to take it down a notch. Slow it down a little. That’s when you want some coziness in a cup. Well, today’s “recipe” is really a no-fuss, completely commercial cup of comfort. My daughter and I were at our local health food store last night where we discovered that Silk Soymilk now has their line of holiday milk available…and this year they’ve added something new. Mint Chocolate Soymilk.
Holy moley, we were excited! The health food store we go to is generally a quiet kind of place so I began to worry the staff were going to usher us out.
Then my daughter asked if that mint chocolate soymilk might taste good warmed up in a mug. I hope it’s in the DNA, because that was pure genius! (Which I’m now thinking may NOT be in the DNA, because I couldn’t even spell the word without a little help from spell check. Oy!)
So here you have it.
Silk Mint Chocolate soy milk warmed in a mug. About 20 seconds in the microwave did the trick for us.
A dallop of soy whipped topping.
And a little bit of chocolate syrup for decoration.
Because sometimes being vegan just needs to be easy…
Cozy and Quick Mint Cocoa
Ingredients:
- 1 container Silk Mint Chocolate Soymilk
- 1 container Soy Whipped Topping (Soyatoo makes a nice ready-made whipped topping)
- Chocolate Syrup (optional)
Directions:
Pour Mint Chocolate Soy Milk in a mug until about 3/4 full. Place the mug in a microwave and warm for approximately 20 seconds. Place a dallop (or two) of whipped topping on top and garnish with chocolate syrup. Then sit in a big, comfy chair and read a book, a magazine, or something. Having a fire in a nearby fireplace optional but highly recommended.
Enjoy the moment.

This looks amazing, Marly!
