This site is about life: Namely, Marly’s life, your life, a dog’s life. You name it! Oh, and it’s about names too. That’s because one of Marly’s passions is names; especially people and their names.
The topic of names is so fascinating, because Marly decided to change hers. (Just so you know, she changed her name to Marly long before she even heard about the book with the dog.) As a result, she loves to talk to people about names, including others who’ve changed their name as well.
Marly publishes a series of interviews with people about their names. Most people, whether they’ve thought much about their name or not, usually have a fun story (or two) to share about their name. Or at times there are personal stories such as how their name motivated them or changed their life. Helen Fisher says that names are like a window into discovering who the person really is. A sort of Rorschach Test. In that way, name interviews provide great insight and wonderful perspectives about people.
Marly is also vegan and Namely Marly has become a wonderful opportunity to share how being vegan doesn’t mean eating only beans and rice. Although beans and rice is a great and tasty dish, there is a world of delicious food out there and Marly is on a quest to “veganize” and share the resulting recipes with her family of readers.
