Blue Velvet Cake

A chocolate cake topped with white icing and blueberries makes a perfect Labor Day treat.

In the same vein that red velvet cakes were made red from beets, I was hoping that my Blue Velvet Cake would be made blue from blue berries. Even with a cup of blueberries I didn't get that desired blue look, but the taste more than makes up for that. And a few fresh blueberries on top solves my color dilemma.
